Kitchee are delighted to confirm the signing of Tan Chun Lok. The new-no. 16-midfielder put pen to paper on a two-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2025.

The regular Hong Kong international, 27, once trained in England and made his professional debut in the Hong Kong First Division League (was formerly the highest division) at the age of 17 in 2013. He had spells at Yokohama FC (Hong Kong) (changed to YFCMD), Hong Kong Pegasus, Wofoo Tai Po, and R&F during his career. The two-time Young Player of The Year winner also had a taste in China that saw him playing at Guangzhou City (formerly called Guangzhou R&F) for several seasons.

“Everyone knows what Tan can bring to the team. The quality he has and the way he plays are going to benefit us in so many possible ways, whether it’s tactically and practicality. We used to work at the Hong Kong Representative Team, he’s the player that every team would love to have, so we are very excited to have him.” Kitchee head coach Alex Chu expressed his admiration for Tan.

“Coach Alex and I have already known each other since I was young, and I am very grateful to have this opportunity to play for Kitchee. Apart from that, the facilities and all that are part of the reasons why I am here. I will try my very best in training and picking up my pace as soon as possible in order to play in the AFC Champions League, and ultimately, winning trophies for Kitchee.” Tan expressed his desires after confirming his transfer.
