Kitchee suffered a turbulent night in the Champions League as they lost 1-2 to Lion City Sailors at home on Wednesday (October 4).
The visitors took the lead in the 14th minute before a goal from the penalty spot in the 38th minute to put the game from bad to worse for Kitchee.
Substitute Jakob Jantscher headed home in the 88th minute to give the hosts hope, but Ruslan Mingazov’s attempt in the final minute of second-half stoppage time failed to break through a resilient Lion City Sailors backline.
