3 Kitchee Academy graduates produced 4 goals as Kitchee and BC Rangers ended in an eight-goal thriller in the JC Sapling Cup at Mong Kok Stadium on Saturday (December 23).

Yuen Chun Him, Matthew Slattery, and Tuscany Shek were named in the starting lineup, and the first goal was coming from the first two players when Yuen scored his first senior goal in the 10th minute after receiving a cross from Slattery in the left. BC Rangers made a quick response by slotting two goals in the 13th minute and 26th minute before the break.

Cheng Chin Lung leveled the scoring 4 minutes into the second half courtesy of Yuen. The 18-year-old scored his double in the 70th minute to give Kitchee the lead for the second time. Second half substitute Yeung Cheuk Kwan added the fourth in the 83rd minute after Igor Satori’s assist to hand the youngster his first senior goal for Kitchee. However, 2 goals in the stoppage time saw both teams played out a thrilling 4-4 draw.
