Kitchee stormed to a 5-0 victory in their semi-final against Eastern in the inaugural HKPLC Cup on Friday (December 29).

Andy Russell scored the first ever HKPLC Cup goal 3 minutes into the first half when he was assisted by Ruslan Mingazov during a corner attempt, and midfielder Charlie Scott poked a second 12 minutes later. Mingazov added their third in the 28th minute as he produced a great diving header to make it 3-0 before half time.

Sherzod Temirov was the star of the night as he scored a double within 6 minutes in the second half after Kim Shin-wook and Andy Russell both provided a respective assist to the Uzbekistan striker to complete the rout.
