Kitchee defeated HKFC 4-0 at Mong Kok Stadium on Saturday (October 5) behind a double from Welthon.

Midfielder Aarón Rey had the first legitimate chance when he received a pass from Welthon and scored his first goal for Kitchee just 6 minutes into the game. The Spaniard and Júnior could have extended the lead, but both of their efforts were ruled out of offside.

Ngan Cheuk Pan doubled the lead in the 65th minute when Luís Machado’s cross found him in the box and scored a superb diving header – also his first goal of the season. Welthon put the game in bed as he scored a late double in the stoppage time to surge past HKFC in emphatic 4-0 victory, as well as earning himself the player of the match award.
