Kitchee had two great chances to break the deadlock, but the attempts from Brazilian striker Welthon either just missed the target or denied by the woodwork. Tai Po found the opener in the 73rd minute when Lucas Silva’s strike beat Fynn Talley at the near post to give the hosts the lead.
