Kitchee advanced to the semi-finals of Senior Shield with a 3-1 win over Tai Po on Saturday evening (October 26) at Mong Kok Stadium.

Korean defender Bae Jae-woo scored his first goal of the season, unleashing a long strike to the bottom of the corner from outside the area in the 30th minute. Striker Sherzod Temirov doubled the lead 8 minutes later when he dribbled pass Tai Po goalie Tse Ka Wing.

Tai Po pulled one back 7 minutes into the second half when Gabriel Cividini converted through a corner attempt. Ruslan Mingazov found the Kitchee’s third goal in the 64th minute with a delicious effort when substitute Nga Cheuk Pan delivered an incisive pass down to the right side to the Turkmen, who put his left-footed strike into the bottom right corner.

With the comprehensive win, Kitchee have progressed to the Senior Shield semi-final, where they will take on Lee Man for the third consecutive season.
