Sherzod Temirov, Fernando, and Aarón Rey scored in the first half as Kitchee overwhelmed Eastern 3-0 in the Premier League at Mong Kok Stadium on Sunday (February 2).
Kitchee produced a strong first half display when Temirov headed home in the 8th minute to open his account for the night. Luís Machado’s cross from the right founded the striker. The Uzbek front-man, who was unmarked in the box, scored with a great header to hand his side the lead. Kitchee’s high-pressing style proved to be the difference in the derby when they turned a defensive error from Eastern into a goal in the 31st minute. Aarón Rey sent Temirov to the box. The striker decided to square it to Fernando to slot home for the second goal. Kitchee extended the lead moments before half time when Rey scored from a rebound to make it 3-0.
