KITCHEE AND PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN TO PLAY PRE-SEASON

The local run-away and undefeated league champions, Kitchee, have today announced the details of their pre-season game against Paris Saint-Germain, the French league champions for the second time running, on 29 July, 2014 at the Hong Kong Stadium. The kick-off time will be 8:00 p.m. Following the tradition of great summer entertainment against international powerhouses such as FC Barcelona, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Kitchee is proud to host Paris Saint-Germain in Hong Kong this summer. Mr. Ken K. Ng, Chairman of the Kitchee Foundation said, “We would like to present the best football clubs to fans in Hong Kong every year and especially this year, following the World Cup. Paris Saint-Germain will be led by their world class star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and the match against Kitchee will serve as Paris Saint-Germain’s final preparation before the team travel to Beijing for the French Super Cup.” Mr. Alex Chu, Kitchee’s acting Head Coach, commented, This match is also very important in preparing for the new season with the quarter-finals of the AFC Cup taking place on 19 August, and the new season and the Charity Shield following soon after. This match against Paris Saint-Germain is different from our previous international exhibition matches as we will treat this match as a crucial part of our pre-season build-up and it is more than just an exhibition.” Mr. Ng further explained, “Through this pre-season game, we would also like to raise additional funds for Jockey Club Kitchee Centre, the city’s first football training centre designed for youth, which is expected to open in Shatin in the beginning of 2015. All profit generates from this match will also go towards the construction and the future operation of the Centre.” Nasser Al-Khelaifi, President of Paris Saint-Germain commented, "Paris Saint-Germain has more and more fans in the region. We really wanted to go and meet them so that they can get to know our players and our game. This first tour in Asia is part of our international strategy. The game organized in Hong Kong against Kitchee, the best local team, is an exciting challenge for all of us. " Tickets for this exciting match between Kitchee and Paris Saint-Germain are priced at HK$780, $630, $480, $330 and concession tickets for senior citizens and students will sell for $180.
