Kitchee set to face Tottenham Hotspur in Jockey Cl

Treble-winning Kitchee is set to lock horns with Premier League runner-up Tottenham Hotspur in the Jockey Club Kitchee Centre Challenge Cup. The eagerly-anticipated encounter will take place in Hong Kong Stadium on Friday evening and kick-off time will be 8:00pm. In order to bolster the squad for the occasion, Kitchee has recalled on-loan players such as Jorge Tarres, Fernando Recio and Li Ngai-hoi ahead of the game, as well as welcoming striker Lucas Da Silva on-loan. Adding these players to an already dangerous Kitchee squad, the Blues are set to give their English counterparts a serious run for their money come Friday evening. Despite recently wrapping up a long Premier League season, Tottenham Hotspur has arrived Hong Kong with a star-studded lineup, including the likes of freshly-crowned Premier League Golden Boot-winner Harry Kane, PFA Young Player of the Year-winner Dele Alli, and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who kept a staggering fifteen clean sheets throughout the season. Make no mistake about it, this is a stacked Spurs squad full of high-end quality. Kitchee midfielder Lam Ka-wai, who once scored against Manchester United in an exhibition game, believes Tottenham Hotspur’s young and talented squad will present a great challenge to Kitchee on Friday evening, making it a tremendous football game. “(Mauricio) Pochettino has utilized a rather young squad and has achieved some wonderful results over the past few seasons - this is something that is quite hard to achieve. We will be playing against the runner-up of the Premier League and I expect a much different game than what we had before against Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain. Nevertheless, I will be giving my best and hopefully, reward the fans with an unforgettable goal once again,” Lam commented with a grin. On-loan striker Lucas Da Silva will be donning Kitchee colors in the exhibition game and relishes the opportunity to come up against Premier League heavy-weight Tottenham Hotspur. “I have only been training with Kitchee for a few days and everything feels great, as I gradually find out how this is one of the top clubs in Hong Kong. I am not sure what the coaches have in store for me in terms of tactics and assignments but of course, I will be trying my outmost to score against Spurs,” said the Brazilian striker.
