傑志一名職員的配偶早前曾離港工作，並於3月18日返港，而有關職員並未根據球會規定向球會申報及進行家居隔離，其配偶於今午初步確診感染2019冠狀病毒。在醫學團隊的指示下，所有球隊職球員及賽馬會傑志中心員工均須立刻作家居隔離，並接受病毒檢測，預計星期三下午會有測試結果。
賽馬會傑志中心自2月初已因應疫情，暫停所有足球學院課程及公眾訂場服務，並嚴格進行清潔、加強中心消毒工作，以保障所有員工及公眾安全，因應近日疫情加劇，亦已自3月24日起全面停止球隊訓練。現因應最新情況，中心會即時全面封閉，以進行深層消毒清潔工作。
球會將繼續密切監察有關情況，並採取適措施保護員工健康。
The Club has confirmed that, a staff’s spouse has returned from overseas on 18 March and the staff member failed to report to the club and to quaratine at home as mandated by club regulation. His spouse has been diagnosed this afternoon as "preliminary positive" for COVID-19. As a precautionary measure advised by the Medical Team, the First team and staff from the Jockey Club Kitchee Centre will be consulted by doctors on Monday and test kits will be distributed on the same day. The test samples will be collected on Tuesday morning and test results will be expected by Wednesday.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Club has previously suspended all Academy programmes and public bookings at the Jockey Club Kitchee Centre since early February. In recent weeks, the Centre has undergone a stringent and thorough cleaning and disinfecting exercise. In response to the government closure of the recreational facilities, the Jockey Club Kitchee Centre was closed for all football team training since 24 March. In view of the current situation, the Centre will be locked down completely to undergo deep cleaning procedures until further notice.
The Club continues to monitor the situation closely and to take suitable measures to protect the health of its employees.
