Kitchee today announced the departure of Mr. Alex Gomez as Head Coach. Mr. Ken K. Ng, President, Kitchee (Sports Management) Limited, emphasized that the Club is grateful for all the contributions made by the former FC Barcelona youth coach, during the short time he was in charge of the Kitchee first team. The Club wishes him all the success in his future endeavours. Mr. Gomez has also expressed that his departure is a football matter, and that the decision was made in the most-friendly manner. In conjunction with Mr. Gomez's departure, Kitchee have announced that Mr. Alex Chu, the Director of Football and Mr. Ricky Cheng, Assistant Coach will take over all coaching duties for the first team on an interim basis. This will include the AFC Tournament in 2014. Mr. Roberto Losada will continue in his role as the Assistant Coach, while Mr. Chu Siu Kee has been promoted to the position of Assistant Coach with immediate effect. He will also be involved in Kitchee's Youth Development programmes. The Kitchee playing style developed over the last 5 years will continue to remain unchanged.
