Kitchee continued its charge towards the top of the premier league table on Sunday afternoon by steamrolling past Lee Man Rangers in a 5:1 victory at home, courtesy to an impressive hat-trick from striker Alessandro Leonardo, as well as goals from Krisztian Vadocz and Fernando Pedreira. Kitchee wasted no time and drew first blood of the game in the opening minutes, as Krisztian Vadocz found himself on the receiving-end of a short corner-kick delivery and directed the ball home through a powerful header. Late in the game, Alessandro Leonardo completed his hat-trick by finding the back of the net once again, sealing a convincing 5:1 victory for Kitchee in the process. Hungarian midfielder Krisztian Vadocz opened the score for Kitchee on the day and netted his first goal since joining the Blues. The elegant midfielder spoke about the satisfaction of snatching another victory for the Club. “We are able to come up with another victory today and our performance has been very satisfying. We are now in the second-spot in the premier league table and that gives us a very clear objective for the five remaining league games of the season. Brazilian Fernando Pedreira put on yet another lively display on the pitch in the victory against Lee Man Rangers. The Kitchee forward could not contain his joy in his post-game comments. “This is a very impressive victory and I think the Hong Kong Premier League needs more games such as this one.
