Fresh off the recent international break, Kitchee has got itself ready for another weekend battle in the premier league – this time against BC Glory Sky. The all-important league tussle will take place in Hammer Hill Road Sports Ground on Sunday afternoon and kick-off time will be 2:30pm. Despite currently residing in the two ends of the premier league table, Kitchee was actually held to a disappointing draw by BC Glory Sky earlier in the season, proving that the premier league minnows are a side that cannot be discounted. In terms of recent form, Kitchee has been going on a strong run, winning three games on the trot and netting ten goals in the process. With goal-machine Alessandro Leonardo finding himself in a rich vein of form, striker Alexander Akande returning from his long-term injury in a recent friendly against Malaysian giant Pahang FC and veteran Rufino Segovia rediscovering his scoring boots by blasting an impressive hat-trick in the same friendly match, Kitchee should have more than enough firepower to threaten BC Glory Sky come Sunday afternoon. Approaching the weekend premier league fixture, Kitchee skipper Lo Kwan-yee steadfastly warns his teammates to not to take BC Glory Sky lightly. “We dropped vital points against BC Glory Sky earlier this season and therefore we can ill-afford to take them lightly. The team has been scoring a lot lately and therefore while we have to play this game away, it is not going to affect our confidence whatsoever. I hope we can field a strong side, continue to play some swashbuckling football, establish an early lead and nail down a win,” said Lo. Veteran Dani Cancela talks about not wanting to have any regrets at the end of the season, hence will be throwing everything at the opponent this weekend, hoping to come up with a victory at the end of the final-whistle. “Everyone in the team is looking forward to the league finale against Eastern Long Lions but before that, we will need to win every single remaining premier league game, including this week’s battle against BC Glory Sky. We dropped points against BC Glory Sky earlier this season, therefore will need to be even more focused and concentrated in the coming game to avoid any surprises,” declared the all-action Kitchee full-back.
