Kitchee continued its decent start to the new domestic football season by trashing Dreams FC 7:0 in the latest premier league football fixture, powered by four-goal hero Lucas Da Silva. Kitchee started the game mainly battling for midfield territory with Dreams FC. It was not until midway in the first half that the Blues opened the score through an opportunistic strike by Lucas Da Silva inside the box. The Brazilian then converted a penalty-shot right before half time to make it 2:0 for the Kitchee. Shortly after the interval, Kitchee was awarded with another penalty and this time, Alessandro Leonardo buried the spot-kick and made it 3:0. Afterwards, Lucas Da Silva netted another brace while Jared Lum and Lo Kwan-yee each scored a beauty to complete Kitchee’s 7:0 rout against Dreams FC. Summer signing Lucas Da Silva, who opened his scoring account for Kitchee by scoring four goals in the victory, was delighted with his accomplishment. “I am very happy my goals helped the team to secure this win,” Lucas expressed after the game. “The team always comes first for me but to open my scoring account for Kitchee and then to score four times in one game, this is simply brilliant.” “I want to dedicate my goals to my wife who was sitting on the stands. She is more than six months into her pregnancy but still came to the game to support me. I am truly very grateful to that.” Midfielder Jared Lum, who chalked up a goal and an assist for his day in the office, attributed opening the score in the first half as the key to Kitchee’s eventual victory. “It was boiling hot out there and the pitch was cut up due to the horrid weather recently,” pointed out the industrious Kitchee midfielder. “All these factors made it nearly-impossible to play our game but we stuck it out and broke the deadlock in the first half, making things a bit easier for ourselves, eventually leading to the huge victory.”
