Premier league leaders Kitchee will venture to Sham Shui Po Sports Ground on Sunday afternoon to take on BC Rangers. The premier league fixture will kick-off at 2:30pm and Kitchee supporters are called upon to show up in numbers and lend their support to the Blues. Kitchee currently tops the premier league table with six wins, one draw and nineteen points from seven league games. While the Blues might be leading second-place Hong Kong Pegasus by three points, it is important that Kitchee continues to go for maximum points in order to stay in the driver’s seat in the title-chase. Within the BC Rangers camp, forward Chuck Yiu-kwok stands out as the most dangerous player, with three goals from six premier league appearances so far this season. Without a doubt, the speedy Chuck will receive a lot of attention from the Kitchee defenders. Midfield enforcer Krisztian Vadocz insists Kitchee will not overlook BC Rangers simply because the latter’s lowly league-standing. “We are not going to take BC Rangers lightly just because of where they are right now in the league table,” offered the former Hungarian international. “As a matter of fact, we only managed to draw Kwoon Chung Southern last week in the Sapling Cup, now that we are back competing in the premier league, we must show that last week’s result was a rarity and everyone in Kitchee colors will try their outmost to lead the side back to winning ways.” Lam Ka-wai, another important piece in the Kitchee midfield, points out that BC Rangers does have capable players and cannot be overlooked. “Despite witnessing our seven-game winning streak coming to an end last week, we are all experienced veterans and know fully well how to re-establish our focus for the next premier league fixture,” Lam stressed. “While we might be facing the lowly-ranked BC Rangers, any side given the opportunity can cause Kitchee trouble on any given day – not to mention a side that has speedster Chuck Yiu-kwok leading the line, therefore we must stay prepared for BC Rangers on Sunday afternoon.”
