After getting back on the winning track last weekend, Kitchee will host BC Rangers on Sunday afternoon at home in Mongkok Stadium. The premier league battle will kick-off at 2:30pm. Kitchee supporters are called upon to fill the stands and spur the Blues on in search for back-to-back victories. Kitchee regained its mojo last weekend by trashing Eastern Long Lions 8:1. The Blues will now face lowly BC Rangers at home and will understandably press for another victory. Former Uruguay star striker Diego Forlan has seen his playing time gradually increased in his first two games with Kitchee. There is every possible chance that the star marksman will receive even more playing-time this weekend, thus all eyes will be on Forlan to see whether he can open his Kitchee scoring account at the expense of BC Rangers. Speaking of BC Rangers, the basement team in the premier league has recently suffered another blow amongst its playing staff. After the departure of youngster Tsui Wang-kit, speedster Tommy Chuck has also left the team for a trial with a mainland club. It looks like BC Rangers will enter the game with a weakened squad and it will be up to the Kitchee troops to see whether they can capitalize on the situation. Veteran forward Jorge Tarres insists the Blues will not overlook BC Rangers despite its lowly league standing. “You never win any game before the start of the first whistle,” claims the Kitchee fan favorite. “We still need to give BC Rangers its due respect, plan well ahead of the game and then give everything that we have against the opponent on match day.” Bruising defender Kim Dong Jin reveals the team has regained its mojo after the convincing victory against Eastern Long Lions last weekend and will be out pressing for another victory this time around. “We defeated Eastern Long Lions in such great fashion last week that it gave everyone in the dressing room tremendous confidence. We are in a good position right now and will be out in search of another victory this weekend,” Kim declared.
