While created many chances in the first half, the attempts from Cheng Chin Lung and Sohgo Ichikawa were denied by the keeper. In second half, two freekicks in the 53rd and 64th minute put Kitchee 2 goals behind, though Dejan Damjanović halved the deficit in the 74th minute after picking up a pass from Law Tsz Chun. The 1:2 loss was the team’s first defeat in Sapling Cup this season.
