On the Christmas afternoon at the Mong Kok Stadium, Kitchee defeated Lee Man at the Senior Shield Semi-final 4:0, courtesy to Cleiton’s 2 goals and 2 assists.

Kitchee was under pressure during the beginning, but the team held on before a one-two between Cleiton and Mikael ended in Cleiton breaking into the box and scoring from a narrow angle in the 17th minute. 7 minutes later, Mikael made a crucial interception before passing the ball from the left, where Cleiton picked up the ball before calmly slotting it home to give the team a 2:0 lead before half time.

The third goal came in the 80th minute as Mikael scored a header from Cleiton’s corner. Cleiton would provide another assist in the stoppage time after intercepting a goal kick and passing the ball to Dejan Damjanović to score outside the box, finishing the match 4:0. The team will play at the final again, first time since the 2018/19 season.
