Kitchee defeated BC Rangers at the Hammer Hill Road Sports Ground on 6 Nov (Sun) in a Hong Kong Premier League match with two second-half goals from Ruslan Mingazov and Michail Manias.
Having the majority of the possession in the match, Kitchee faced a strong defence from the home team as Mikael’s close-range header and a freekick from Charlie Scott, recently returned from injury, both hit the crossbar before the half time whistle.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 57th minute as Fernando’s cross found Mingazov, whose header hit the ground and bounced into the net. Cleiton won a challenge in the opponent’s box at stoppage time before Manias picked up the loose ball, rounded the keeper and sealed a 2:0 victory.
