A 6:1 victory against RCFC at the Tsing Yi Sports Ground on 18 Dec (Sun) continued Kitchee’s Sapling Cup winning streak as Academy graduate Tsang Yi Hang Ellison scored his first professional goal.

Kitchee found the net 8 minutes into the game as Charlie Scott picked up a cross from Cleiton and scored at the edge of the box. A counter attack opportunity in the 39th minute saw Cleiton’s narrow shot denied by the keeper, but Ngan Cheuk Pan picked up the rebound and doubled the lead before half time.

Kitchee continued their sharp form during the second half as Ellison Tsang scored his first goal in 59th minute with a long shot at the edge of the box after a low pass from Cleiton. Cleiton made another assist in the 64th minute with a free kick, which found Michail Manias who scored with his left foot. Though conceded 2 minutes later, Kitchee would score again courtesy to Sohgo Ichikawa’s close range effort from Manias’ cross in the 78th minute. Mikael converted a penalty in stoppage time to wrap up the 6:1 victory.
